Assessment of liquid and gas impingement cooling fluids with numerical solution for better steel austempering

Abstract Impingement jet heat transfer was studied using liquid and gas fluids to determine better cooling fluid. The materials used were rectangular steel plates of 230 mm by 120 12 mm, single diameters 10–40 with impingement gaps 115–155 mm. A computational fluid dynamics software application ANSYS 2020R1 employed for simulation, lumped thermal mass analysis experimental modeling. results showed an increase in coefficient increased pipe a corresponding flow rate.
